Volunteer
Help us further our mission to protect salmon through education and outreach by donating your time. We have year-round opportunities for volunteers to teach about salmon, connect people to fish, and support hatchery operations.
Lead Hatchery Tours
Provide educational tours to schools, students, families and adults.
Assist Hatchery Staff
Help with salmon spawning (fall), egg picking (winter) and ponding (late winter).
Engage the Public
Participate in Salmon on Sunset (September), Earth Day / Smolt Send-Off (April), and Salmon Days (October).
WOW KIDS AT SCIENCE FAIRS
Represent us at local schools during their STEM, sustainability or science fairs.
STAFF OUTREACH EVENTS
Answer questions at a hatchery information booth or at the FISHop Gift Shop.
HELP US GET CRAFTY
Help prepare the children’s arts and crafts activities at events.

- Complete the Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery (FISH) Volunteer Registration Form at https://form.jotform.com/241866125169159.
- Complete Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) Volunteer Registration.
– Volunteers aged 18 and up complete online at https://www.cervistech.com/acts/console.php?console_id=0052&console_type=event_list&res_code=XFZnqf&ht=1.
– Volunteers under age 18 must complete a physical copy of the WDFW Volunteer Registration Form and bring to Volunteer Orientation.
