Chinook Smolt, 2 million released! (batch 1)

Wish them good luck! Today, Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife staff released about 2 million of the scheduled 3 million Chinook smolt! The juveniles will make the 42 miles journey to the Puget Sound in 2-7 days, passing through City of Issaquah, City of Bellevue, City of Sammamish, City of Redmond, City of Bothell & City of Woodinville before leaving through the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks – Ballard Locks – they can be viewed from the stream at the hatchery or other bridges over Issaquah Creek today.
