David Phinney grew up fishing around Puget Sound and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in biology and fisheries from the University of Washington. After working with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife for a number of years, David switched careers and earned a JD from Stanford Law School and now assists technology and life sciences companies with their legal needs. While no longer working directly in fisheries, David still enjoys fishing and the outdoors. David has been a member of the FISH Board of Directors since 2014.
