We aim to support teachers and members of the community in efforts to educate others about salmon and watersheds, and help protect our natural resources.
The Salmon Trunk, produced by Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, is a great resource for teachers, home-school groups and even after-school and youth programs. Activities work best for 2nd grade through high school, and include art, math and science topics. For a detailed description of the activities and learning objectives, please refer to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife website.
Who? Activities for K through high school.
When? The trunk can be borrowed anytime of the year.
How long? You may borrow the trunk for up to two weeks; extensions may be granted.
How much? It is FREE!
Car Wash KitLooking for a fundraising idea? Hold a car wash and help keep our streams clean!
King County has granted FISH an environmentally friendly car-wash kit available for loan to the community.
If it washes off the driveway, parking lot or pavement, it goes to a storm drain. All storm drains lead to streams, lakes or Puget Sound.
