Facility Use Guidelines

Parties will be scheduled in conjunction with WSC availability and must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Activities may be modified to fit children’s age level and interest. Parents/chaperones must be with children at all times. FISH requests a ratio of one chaperone to every four children.

CLEAN-UP FEE

Party packages include a $25 clean-up fee. If you wish to have the fee refunded, the room must be cleaned in the following way:

  • Wipe down tables & chairs
  • Wipe down countertops
  • Collect trash and recycling and put in dumpsters and cans located on the north-side of the hatchery (across the foot bridge in front of the hatchery garage)
  • Line garbage cans with new trash liners, available in the janitorial closet down the hall or under sink
  • Sweep and vacuum floor (supplies are in the janitorial closet)

Suggested items to bring

  • Cake & serving utensils
  • Tablecloths
  • Drinks (no alcohol is allowed)
  • Candles & matches
  • Plates, forks, napkins, cups or any other necessary utensils
  • Camera
  • Decorations

PLEASE NOTE: No staples, pins or other devices that leave marks on the wall are allowed. All decorations must be removed from the building upon departure. No helium balloons are allowed on the hatchery grounds as they pose an environmental hazard (regular balloons are OK).

FISH retains the right to deny or terminate use of the facility in the event that the proposed or actual activity runs contrary to the mission of supporting salmon education, watershed stewardship and/or promotion of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery, as determined in the sole discretion of FISH.
