Uncle SalmonSalmon Squad

“Uncle Salmon” wants you to join the Salmon Squad!

This program is for home-school groups and youth groups such as:

  • YMCA Adventure Guides and Y-Princesses
  • Campfire USA
  • Girl and Boy Scouts
  • other youth clubs or organizations

Participants receive a goody bag and FISH patch!

(Minimum 7 participants/Maximum 15 participants)

4-5 1 hour

  • Short slide show presentation
  • Brief tour of hatchery and feed the fish!
  • Craft activity
6-8 1.5 hours $8/child
  • Slide show presentation
  • Behind-the-scenes hatchery tour and fish feeding
  • Salmon life cycle keychain
9-11 2 hours $11/child
  • Slide show presentation
  • Behind-the-scenes hatchery tour and fish feeding
  • Microscope investigation of salmon
  • Water quality study and sampling
