We're all about procreation here at the hatchery and soon will be releasing Chinook and Coho fry into Issaquah Creek for the annual migration to the sea.

This is your chance to procreate too! Wednesday, May 2nd is GiveBIG Day in Seattle. The Seattle Foundation and hundreds of non-profits are promoting this one day to give generously to our community. If you give to Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery on this one day, a portion of your gift will be matched by the Seattle Foundation and other sponsors from the GiveBIG stretch pool. What does that mean? If FISH raises 3% of all the money raised through GiveBIG, then we will get 3% of the stretch pool. The more you give, the more of the stretch pool FISH will receive.

AND - this is s 24 hour event! One non-profit will be selected each hour to receive a Golden Ticket. If FISH is selected from among all the donors in any given hour we will received an additional $1,000. Chances are better in the middle of the night. Are you a night owl? Think about making your gift at 3AM or11:30PM.

Whatever your gift you will be helping FISH to advocate for the preservation of our beloved hatchery and inspire watershed stewardship through education. Each year we help 9,000 students from area schools learn about the wonder of the salmon life cycle. Our volunteers give countless hours providing tours to school children and adults during the fall salmon run.
