FISH Donors More Than Double 2011 Results

Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery raised $1,775 which will be matched by a portion of the stretch pool by the Seattle Foundation. A huge thank you to all of our donors who went on line yesterday to support F.I.S.H. The total represents a 58% increase over the $750 F.I.S.H. received in the 2011 “GiveBIG” campaign, similar to the increase in the campaign overall.

The Seattle Foundation’s “GiveBIG” campaign generated a stunning $7.43 million in online contributions for nonprofits, more than twice last year’s results of $3.6 million and an amazing testament to the philanthropic spirit in King County.

Although F.I.S.H. was not selected to receive a “Golden Ticket” our special thanks to those of you who stayed up late or got up early to make your contribution during the wee hours in hopes that would increase our chances of winning one of those special $1,000 prizes. Your sacrifice of sleep is greatly appreciated.
